Abukumagawa Munehiro Sentei-basami (Secateurs)

I myself use this particular one for my Bonsais (*), various other light pruning and harvesting of harder stemmed plants, I use it to harvest rosemary most often. Can't stay home without it.

*So many people seem to mispronounce as Bon-"Z"ai, probably got mixed up with Banzai somewhere. It is pronounced Bon-"S"ai, sai means green/plant like in Chinese sai or choi.

This is made with pure carbon steel, i.e. it will rust if not oiled. So if you'd rather be hassle free, please wait for the coming stainless model from another maker that I will be getting in a month or so time.

But if you are after sheer sharpness, I recommend this one. The maker goes all the way back to Meiji 3rd..., which is 1871...! One of the oldest scissors/secateurs makers in Japan, the oldest IIRC.

Lefty model available for 11600JPY. Please inquire for availability.
